We have been creating quality food for over 30 years. Steven Poole our top chef/innovations director & foodie has over 30 years experience and has been at the forefront of shaping the inspirational types of foods we eat. Having created some of the finest foods for major household brands i.e. Marks & Spencer plc. Tesco. Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Heinz, Sacla, Morrison’s, Delhaize in Belgium, Amoy as well as FMCG Manufacturers: Two Sisters Food Group, Oscar Mayer Ltd, Samworth Brothers, Lyons Seafood’s, KK Fine Foods, Burtons Biscuits, Thai Union, Farne Salmon

Steven also worked with Michelin starred TV/Ready Steady Cook Chef & writer, Phil Vickery for over 6 years after creating there own food consultancy business “The Food Bureau Ltd”.

Steven has been closely involved in the QFA (Quality Food Awards) competition judging for over 15 years. Having personally won several Silver Q Awards and the ultimate Gold Q Award, see link www.qualityfoodawards.com

During his career Steven has travelled the world many times, in the quest of gastronomy, visiting Australia, Japan, America, Mexico, Asia, Iceland, Norway, throughout mainland Europe, working extensively in Italy as a consultant to a leading European branded food business. This in turn has armed him with an extensive knowledge of worldwide gastronomy, cultural influences on food trends and unique business opportunities.

In addition to Steven, our Grubworkz HQ Manufacturing factory is managed by another culinary expert, Tom Poole our Production/Buying Director. Tom, who is a passionate and creative chef, has a reputation for his fine attention to all things food within the local hospitality industry. Plus having a wealth of industry contacts within the southwest. He has operated at a high level within the kitchen/hospitality trade.

Tom now brings his substantial industry catering experience to our range of High Quality Sous Vide products, being a key member of the business team, by controlling the ingredients purchasing and managing final production of our sous vide products, ensuring that they are made to the highest consistent quality specifications and comply to all the necessary food standards requirements.
